Have a New Kid by Friday #5

"But What if I Damage Their Psyche..."

In this chapter (Thursday) Dr. Leman focuses on having clear expecations and expecting the best from our children.

How to Respect Your Children

1. Never do for them what hey can and should do for themselves.

2. Don't repeat your instructions.

3. Expect the best from them. (Set the bar high but make sure your expectaions are reasonable for your child)

4. Don't praise them. Do encourage them.

The pillars of self worth are acceptance, belonging, and competence and the best way to empower our children and build self esteem is to give them responsibility.
