Just this entry and two more before we move on to other topics. Hopefully, you've gotten a great glimpse of the kind of content that is in this book. Here's an excerpt of content from p. 106 (with a bit of commentary from me woven in).
"The only throne a child should sit on is in the bathroom. Kids always feel safer and more loved when Mom and Dad are queen andking in a loving and gentle way."
So may parents make the mistake (I did too) of making their children their central focus. Kids learn life revolves around them. We all have a strong need to feel loved...especially by our own children. "It only becomes abnormal and unhealthy when we avoid setting firm limits, or let our kids off the hook, in fear of losing their friendship and affection." (p. 107)
