The research on how screen time is negatively effecting the brains of children and adults is startling. The Mayo clinic suggests parents limit screen time to combat obesity http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/childhood-obesity/MY00047.
Dr. Aric Sigmind notes
"There is a definite relationship between the amount of time kids spend watching screens per day and a range of physical, cognitive and educational problems later on," he says. "These include severe problems like ADHD and milder but still worrying damage to their ability to concentrate, their attention span and performance in school." http://www.dad.info/kids/screen-time-how-much-is-healthy/
The American Academy of Pediatrics is so concerned, they are recommending no screen time for children under two.http://aappolicy.aappublications.org/cgi/reprint/pediatrics;107/2/423.pdf
